Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as Delta-8, is a psychoactive substance found amongst over 100 cannabinoids in both marijuana and hemp. Delta-8 THC has a similar chemical structure to it's well-known cousin, Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (more commonly referred to as weed). The word "delta" means double bond, and the number describes where the double bond is located on the carbon atom. Although the structures of these chemicals are different, they interact with your body similarly, by activating the bodyās CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, and report similar effects.
